Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings will be essential in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding to join metal parts according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding procedures and material requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of components.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to shape and prepare materials.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds using visual checks, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools; ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards.
- Assist with rigging, crane operations, and forklift handling for material movement on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, rigging, and site safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of safety practices.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, pipe threading, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge including basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication.
- Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy materials safely.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices; ability to follow strict industry guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project needs while maintaining quality standards.
