Welder Helper
Location: Rhome, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)

A growing manufacturing company specializing in custom-engineered steel structures is seeking a Welder Helper to join its production team in Rhome, TX. Position Responsibilities
- Assist welders and fitters in the fabrication of steel and metal structures.
- Prepare materials and work areas for welding operations.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Operate basic shop tools and assist with general production tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 minimum years of previous experience in a steel manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment preferred.
- Ability to operate shop equipment such as saws, drills, presses, and grinders.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Plasma cutting experience is a plus.
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
- Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to:
- Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy manufacturing environments.
- Safely work around welding operations, steel materials, and industrial equipment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Schedule
AM Shift
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Overtime as needed
- Half-day Saturdays when required
PM Shift
- 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Overtime as needed
- Half-day Saturdays when required
Night Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour
