Are you a roofer or sheet metal fabricator who would rather build the parts than work on the roof? IB Roof Systems is hiring an experienced fabricator for our Grapevine production shop. You'll make the sheet metal and PVC single-ply parts that go out on commercial roofing jobs.
What you'll build
- Sheet metal parts: drip edge, gravel guard, scuppers, pitch pans, and custom pieces
- PVC single-ply accessories, hot-air welded to spec
- Custom parts built from shop prints and detail drawings
Equipment you'll run
- Programmable Schechtl brake and shear, including the Schechtl software
- Leister 110V hand welder, 2" silicone hand roller, and seam probe
- Jigs, micrometers, gauges, and standard hand tools
What you need
- Roofing experience (single-ply roofer, sheet metal fabricator, or similar)
- Able to read shop prints and take accurate measurements
- Comfortable doing shop math and figuring out problems
- Able to lift 40 lbs
- Good communication skills in English
