Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes while delivering reliable power solutions. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults or issues within complex electrical circuits and systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safety and quality assurance.
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and protocols.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems integral to automation processes.
- Conduct high voltage testing and troubleshooting using specialized equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate installation activities, including frame carpentry and schematic interpretation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records.
- Follow all safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a valid license or certification.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or construction environments.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks such as high-voltage wiring, electrical diagnostics, and PLC programming.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power meters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment safely.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and high voltage safety procedures is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers.
