POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Fabricator to join our dynamic team at a Manufacturing company in Arlington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components used in various manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality standards and precision in all tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the fabrication and welding of industrial equipment, fixtures, and other custom components.
- Interpret layouts, blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Versatile in all aspects of welding, including MIG, TIG, stick, plasma, brazing, and soldering.
- Cutting and assembling materials.
- Torch cutting.
- Use and maintain welding equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including proper PPE.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks with high quality and precision.
- Work proactively to drive process improvements and achieve results.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven welding capabilities and a solid operational and technical background.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Action and goal-oriented mindset.
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees.
- Advanced organization skills with attention to detail, prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
- Professional certifications from an accredited school (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years as a welder/fabricator
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- 5+ years Aluminum welding
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment, machinery and procedures
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and time management skills
- Effectively communicate
