Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and maintenance on industrial motor control equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, multimeters, and testers to identify faults or inefficiencies.
- Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during all work activities.
- Execute electrical systems installation on construction sites, including low voltage systems, power distribution panels, and lighting circuits.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries while working with high-voltage systems or on construction sites.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform precise wiring, connections, and repairs efficiently.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure proper installation of motor control equipment and other complex systems.
- Perform industrial motor maintenance and repair tasks to optimize performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Assist in the training of apprentices or junior electricians when required while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical projects.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and repair procedures for complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) as well as NFPA 70 compliance standards.
- Ability to read detailed blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical drawings with confidence.
- Construction site experience working on large-scale projects involving electrical installation or maintenance work.
- Skilled in using testing instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, multimeters, circuit testers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of industrial motor maintenance practices along with troubleshooting skills for complex machinery issues.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to high-voltage systems to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
