Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with various home appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform appliance repairs and installations efficiently, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and plumbing equipment to complete repairs accurately.
- Interpret electrical diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, and schematics to identify faults and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance on appliances and related systems to prevent future breakdowns.
- Operate company vehicles such as box trucks for delivery, pickup, or service calls while maintaining safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout each service visit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair or field service with a strong background in mechanical and electrical work.
- Familiarity with schematics, ladder use (logic diagrams), refrigeration systems, HVAC components, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of appliance installation procedures including electrical wiring and plumbing connections.
- Experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks or similar delivery/service vehicles safely.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), assembly processes, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
