Quality Manager – Sheet Metal Manufacturing

Starting at $25+/hour (Based on Experience)
Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives, maintain compliance with industry standards, and support manufacturing excellence across all production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and customer requirements
- Lead quality inspections, including first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product compliance
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Manage internal audits and support customer and registrar audits
- Investigate customer quality concerns and drive resolution
- Partner with manufacturing teams to identify process improvements and reduce defects
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, documentation, and reports
- Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in quality management or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 13485, or aerospace/medical manufacturing standards preferred
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
- Experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Knowledge of corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and customers
Preferred Experience:
- Sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, or metal manufacturing background
- Experience supporting first article inspection reports (FAIR/AS9102)
- Experience leading audits and quality improvement initiatives
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
