We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to support a leading medical device product line. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong electrical hardware design expertise who can contribute immediately to sustaining engineering initiatives and legacy product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sustaining engineering activities for existing electrical products.
- Resolve end-of-life (EOL) component issues and implement design updates.
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic hardware.
- Create and modify schematics and PCB designs using Altium Designer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, design records, and technical reports.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years with a Master's degree).
- Strong experience in electrical/electronic hardware design.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
