Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians with installing HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation components.
Support troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems by applying mechanical knowledge and electrical diagnostics.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to aid in system repairs and installations.
Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Help diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform equipment repair and mechanical systems repair as directed.
Support the inspection of electrical systems, building automation controls, and plumbing connections related to HVAC setups.
Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs, inspections, and system performance logs for client records.

Experience

Construction experience or property maintenance background is highly desirable.
Prior service technician or field service experience is a plus; familiarity with HVAC system repair or appliance repair is beneficial.
Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, refrigeration processes, and mechanical systems repair is preferred.
Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, or boiler operation will set you apart.
Demonstrated ability to use hand tools effectively; mechanical knowledge combined with a strong work ethic is essential.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving driver vehicles is advantageous.
Certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for refrigerants or HVAC/R certifications are preferred but not mandatory at entry level; willingness to obtain necessary credentials is expected.
