We're looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Petoskey team. If you're motivated, dependable, customer-focused, and take pride in your work, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a HVAC Service Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, maintain, and install heating and cooling equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include:

Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups
Troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers
Install and replace HVAC equipment when needed
Clearly explain repair options and recommendations to customers
Complete service documentation using tablets and mobile technology
Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and professional appearance
Follow all safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
Mentor apprentices when appropriate
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry technology

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GED
2+ years of residential HVAC service experience
EPA Certification
Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions
Own basic hand tools
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

HVAC degree or technical certificate (or equivalent field experience)
NATE Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Geothermal experience
Boiler experience
Sheet metal fabrication experience
