We are seeking a licensed electricians to join our team in Childress, TX, bringing expertise in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair across various settings. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, schematics, and safety standards, ensuring all work is performed to the highest quality and compliance. Licensed Apprentice Pay: $20-$30 an hour
Licensed Journeyman Pay: $32-$38 an hour
$145 per diem
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct testing using instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Work on construction sites involving framing carpentry, renovation projects, or new installations with adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper insulation and grounding procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent outages or failures.
- Follow all local electrical codes (including NEC) and safety regulations diligently.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Valid license as a professional electrician with relevant state or local certification.
- Extensive experience working as an commercial electrician on construction sites.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage power distribution.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, along with power tools necessary for installation tasks.
- Knowledge of NEC standards governing electrical installations and safety practices.
- Experience working with schematics for complex electrical circuits.
- Ability to perform renovation projects requiring framing carpentry or handyman skills.
- Strong understanding of power tools operation for efficient work execution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge in pulling wire, installing lights, switches, plugs, fixtures, run MC cable, pipe bending (all bends), terminate j-boxes.
- Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments.
Schedule: 10 days on, 2 days off
Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
