We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Superintendent specializing in Sheet Metal HVAC projects to lead our construction teams on-site. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee large-scale HVAC installations, ensure project milestones are met, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding results in construction management. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of sheet metal HVAC installation on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Manage daily on-site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet project deadlines.
- Lead and supervise field personnel, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a productive team environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and execution of project scope.
- Oversee quality control measures, conduct inspections using tools like ohmmeters and blueprints reading to verify installation accuracy.
- Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards; conduct safety meetings and site audits regularly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and daily reports using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam. Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising sheet metal HVAC or related construction projects with a strong background in construction site management.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or HeavyBid.
- Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of contracts, quality control procedures, OSHA regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as pipe fitting, ductwork installation, schematic interpretation, and use of testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience; ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
