We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Massachusetts Master Electrician to lead the electrical execution and compliance of our residential solar and battery storage projects. This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, code-compliant, and high-quality installations while supporting the continued growth of our solar operations throughout Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with residential solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems, is comfortable working directly with inspectors and utilities, and can provide technical leadership to installation crews. Candidates who also possess a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) are strongly preferred.

Non-Negotiable Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

Active Massachusetts Master Electrician License
Hands-on experience with residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
Hands-on experience with residential battery energy storage systems (BESS)
Ability to pull permits and oversee code-compliant residential electrical installations
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Construction Supervisor License (CSL) is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the licensed Master Electrician for residential solar and energy storage operations.
Provide oversight for electrical installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of residential solar PV and battery storage systems.
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Massachusetts electrical code, utility requirements, and company quality standards.
Pull electrical permits and coordinate with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
Support field crews with technical expertise and problem resolution.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
Review electrical designs, one-line diagrams, and permit packages.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, permitting, and project management teams to ensure successful project completion.
Mentor electricians, apprentices, and installation personnel.
Support the development and implementation of safety and training programs.
Assist with service upgrades, battery integrations, and complex troubleshooting scenarios.
Maintain required licensing and compliance documentation.

Required Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Master Electrician License in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of electrical installation, service, or supervisory experience.
Proven experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and inspecting residential solar PV systems.
Proven experience with residential battery storage systems, including grid-tied and backup power applications.
Strong understanding of NEC requirements related to solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
Experience working with municipal inspectors, utility interconnection processes, and permitting requirements.
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, one-line diagrams, and construction documents.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Commitment to safety, workmanship quality, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
NABCEP PV Professional and/or Energy Storage Certification.
Experience with Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ Battery, FranklinWH, SolarEdge, or similar energy storage platforms.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Previous experience managing multiple crews or overseeing field operations.
Experience with residential roofing, structural, or construction coordination.
