Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facility. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. You will manage a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate projects, and uphold safety standards to create a productive and secure environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures in accordance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems including HVAC systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards by conducting safety audits, training staff on safety protocols, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Monitor the condition of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters; perform electrical repairs or coordinate specialized services as needed.
- Collaborate with management to plan for facility upgrades or renovations while managing resources effectively.
- Maintain detailed schematics of mechanical and electrical systems for troubleshooting and future reference.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing maintenance data to optimize procedures and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities or industrial maintenance teams with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems (high voltage/low voltage), and industrial maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations along with experience conducting safety audits and training staff accordingly.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings for troubleshooting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters; knowledge of high voltage electrical systems is essential.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in English for team leadership, reporting, and safety documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or automation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including refrigeration units; experience managing facilities maintenance management programs is highly desirable.
