Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and control sequences to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify system faults accurately.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical system problems involving plumbing, refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform system repairs or upgrades efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, maintenance needs, and safety procedures.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong foundation in mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation.
- Service technician experience with hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and HVAC/R equipment.
- Ability to read detailed schematics and mechanical drawings for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing building automation systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, ammonia refrigeration, and HVAC design principles.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment necessary for equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience working with electrical systems including wiring diagrams and control panels; familiarity with electrical diagnostics is essential.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations related to refrigerants; valid EPA certification is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license (including driver if applicable) with a clean driving record for travel between sites.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
