Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential plumbing. This role requires proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as the capability to perform heavy lifting. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems within private homes, including tasks like fixing leaky pipes, replacing faucets, installing toilets, clearing clogged drains, and troubleshooting issues with water heaters, all while adhering to local plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Installation: Installing new plumbing fixtures like toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and garbage disposals.
Repair and maintenance: Diagnosing and fixing leaks in pipes, faucets, and drains, replacing worn-out parts, and addressing issues with water pressure.
Drain cleaning: Clearing clogged drains using plumbing snakes, drain augers, and other specialized tools.
Water heater service: Installing, repairing, and maintaining water heaters, including inspecting for leaks and performing necessary maintenance.
Pipe repair and replacement: Replacing damaged or corroded pipes with new ones, including cutting and soldering pipes.
Backflow prevention: Installing and maintaining backflow prevention devices to protect water supply from contamination.
Code compliance: Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to local building codes and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical knowledge: Thorough understanding of plumbing systems, including pipe types, materials, and installation techniques.
Hand tools proficiency: Ability to use various plumbing tools like wrenches, pliers, pipe cutters, and drain snakes effectively.
Problem-solving skills: Diagnosing the cause of plumbing issues and finding efficient solutions.
Physical ability: Comfortable working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects.
Customer service skills: Communicating clearly with clients, explaining repair needs, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Minimum 3 years residential experience
