Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems across various property environments. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, HVAC units, boilers, and related mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, equipment failures, and mechanical issues to identify root causes quickly and accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing work related to refrigeration and HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to perform electrical system repairs and system testing.
- Read schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, and parts used for compliance and future reference.
- Operate a company van safely while transporting tools, parts, or equipment to job sites.
- Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations regarding refrigerants (EPA certification required).
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the work performed.
Skills
- Proven experience in refrigeration system service, HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems efficiently.
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding building infrastructure integration.
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, and plumbing related to HVAC/R equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical system repair is essential.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred) along with general HVAC/R principles.
- Ability to operate hand tools confidently; experience with appliance repair is advantageous.
- Mechanical systems repair skills combined with property maintenance experience enhance versatility in this role.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; knowledge of HVAC design principles is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients or property managers.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating vans or trucks safely in various environments.

Pay: $22.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
