The Best Electrical & Controls Career You've Never Heard Of

Have you ever heard of Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation (DCKV)?

DCKV is the process of measuring the level of cooking activity in commercial kitchen hoods and modulating the speed of the associated exhaust and supply fans to be used only as needed. By adjusting these units, these commercial kitchens save a tremendous amount of energy in their electrical, heating, and cooling usage.

KES Technicians perform full installations, service, and repairs of our DCKV system and other energy efficient solutions in commercial kitchens.

It's a unique career that combines electrical, controls, and problem-solving. Every project is different, and no two days are the same.

KES Technicians will work together in teams of two, or individually to accomplish these tasks on each jobsite. Electrical Journeyman’s license is required, please be prepared to submit it upon request.

Build a Career in DCKV

DCKV sits at the intersection of HVAC, controls, and energy engineering. You're not just pulling wire, you're tuning VFDs, reading airflow data, and solving problems that don't have a page in a textbook yet.

As commercial kitchens move toward smarter ventilation, technicians who understand both mechanical systems and variable frequency drives are becoming the people everyone else calls first.

Every commercial kitchen is a candidate for smarter ventilation, and the industry is short on technicians who can install and diagnose these systems correctly. That scarcity is exactly what makes the skill valuable!
