Jon Richards Company is a custom fabrication shop specializing in high-end sets, props, signage, and themed architectural elements for major entertainment clients. We are growing and looking for skilled TIG Welders / Fabricators with strong experience in aluminum to join our team.
This is not production welding—our work is custom, detail-driven, and highly visible, requiring precision and craftsmanship.
What You’ll Do
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum (primary) and stainless steel components
- Fabricate custom assemblies from drawings and shop details
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Cut, fit, and assemble materials using standard fabrication tools
- Operate equipment including press brake, shear, saws, and hand tools
- Work closely with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and aesthetic standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What We’re Looking For
- Proven TIG welding experience (aluminum required)
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic layout/math accurately
- Experience with fabrication equipment (press brake, shear, saws, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively in English
- Commitment to safety and quality
Bonus Skills (not required):
- MIG welding / spool gun experience
- Stainless steel fabrication
- Forklift or rigging experience
Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:45 PM (4x10 schedule)
- Fridays: Overtime required as needed
Interview Process
- Candidates will complete a 20 question shop test
- Candidates will complete a TIG welding test on 1/8” aluminum
