Who We Are

At DrainWorks, we're more than just plumbers - we're problem solvers on a mission to keep your pipes flowing smoothly. Join our team and be a part of something great! We believe in balance over profit and prioritize accountability, world-class communication, and integrity. Our workplace is a great place to work, focusing on safety first while fostering a collaborative culture.

That means building a company where skilled tradespeople can do excellent work without sacrificing their personal lives. Our team is made up of professionals who take pride in solving problems the right way, communicating clearly with customers, and supporting one another in the field. If you want to work somewhere that respects your experience, equips you with modern tools, and values long-term career growth over burnout, DrainWorks offers that environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing top-notch plumbing service and repair for residential and light commercial properties, helping homeowners and businesses restore comfort, safety, and normal operations as quickly as possible. Your work may include diagnosing leaks, repairing fixtures, resolving drain and water flow issues, and completing service calls that directly impact customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Utilizing modern plumbing tools and technology to diagnose and resolve issues effectively, allowing you to work efficiently, reduce guesswork, and deliver accurate solutions the first time. We value technicians who can combine hands-on skill with up-to-date methods to improve both the customer experience and the quality of the repair.
Communicating clearly and effectively with customers to explain services and solutions, so they understand the problem, the recommended fix, and the value of the work being performed. This part of the role is essential because strong communication builds trust, helps customers make informed decisions, and reflects the professionalism of our company on every call.
Maintaining high standards of safety and integrity on the job, protecting yourself, your teammates, and the customers you serve. We expect clean, professional work, honest recommendations, and a commitment to doing the job correctly rather than taking shortcuts.
Participating in team huddles and company events to foster a supportive work environment, share knowledge, and stay aligned on goals, service standards, and best practices. These touchpoints help create a team-first culture where technicians can learn from each other, celebrate wins, and feel connected beyond individual service calls.

In this role, you will have the chance to work independently while still being backed by a team that wants you to succeed. You will be trusted to manage your day professionally, represent the company well in customers' homes and businesses, and bring your expertise to a variety of service and repair situations.

We have a rigorous process for hiring, but move FAST for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days! We've had lots of interest, so the first few steps are automated to make sure you can get considered quickly.

Don't worry—if you take the time to apply, we will respond to 100% of the applicants.

The process:

Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min)
You'll be texted a link for a 10 min questionnaire that will help match you to the job (or others that might suit you!).
You'll get a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min)
We'll send you a link to get scheduled for an in-person interview.
You can easily be in for an interview within a couple days from right now.

What We’re Looking For

Current plumbing license for Connecticut.
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in residential and light commercial plumbing service and repair, with the ability to work through common and complex plumbing issues confidently in the field.
Strong diagnostic abilities and proficiency with modern plumbing tools, so you can identify root causes efficiently and complete high-quality repairs that last.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to speak professionally with customers, explain recommendations clearly, and represent the company with confidence.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a fit with our company culture. We are looking for someone who shows up ready to contribute, takes ownership of their work, and values teamwork, accountability, and integrity.
Valid driver's license and physical stamina to handle job demands, including moving through active job sites, working in tight spaces, lifting equipment, and performing physically hands-on service work throughout the day.

Why Join Us

Enjoy a competitive salary between $95,000 - $180,000 per year, along with benefits like retirement match, paid holidays, and paid time off including your birthday! This is an opportunity to build a stable, rewarding career with a company that understands what matters to skilled tradespeople: strong earnings, respect for your time, and a culture that does not rely on constant after-hours demands. A 4-day work week with no weekends and no on-call means you can plan your life, recover properly, and spend more time with family and friends while still doing meaningful, well-compensated work.
