2. Commercial / Industrial Welder Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Welder with a strong background in commercial and industrial mechanical piping. Our welding requirements vary depending on the project, so we need someone who is comfortable working with different metals, welding processes, pipe sizes, and configurations. This position will primarily support our HVAC and mechanical piping operations but may also involve industrial process piping, equipment installations, and other specialized projects.

Responsibilities: Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required by the project. Weld chilled water, heating water, condenser water, and process piping systems. Perform pipe welding in various positions, including field installations and confined mechanical spaces. Work with SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and other applicable welding processes. Read and interpret isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and welding specifications. Prepare pipe joints, perform fit-up, and ensure proper alignment before welding. Work with pipe fitters on mechanical equipment installations and piping modifications. Perform welding on piping supports and related mechanical components when required. Follow applicable welding procedures, project specifications, and quality requirements. Complete welds that meet required inspection and testing standards. Maintain welding equipment and follow safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications: Proven commercial or industrial pipe welding experience. Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel piping. Proficiency in stick and TIG welding. Experience with different pipe diameters, wall thicknesses, and welding positions. Ability to perform quality welds in field conditions. Familiarity with applicable ASME and AWS requirements.
