Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electro Plater to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying electroplating coatings to various metal components to enhance durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will ensure that all plating processes meet strict quality standards and safety protocols, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products. Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts and surfaces for electroplating by cleaning, masking, and surface preparation techniques such as sanding or grinding.
- Operate electroplating equipment following detailed production documents and process specifications.
- Apply coatings using spray guns, powder coating methods, or other finishing techniques to achieve desired surface qualities.
- Interpret manufacturing and production documents accurately to ensure proper process adherence and quality control.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, and respiratory protection devices during all processes.
- Handle materials carefully with forklifts or cranes as needed for material movement within the production area.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and use precision measuring instruments to verify coating quality and consistency.
- Support construction painting surface preparation and auto body repair processes when required for specialized projects.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards in industrial painting and coating applications.Requirements
- Proven experience with electroplating processes or related manufacturing finishing techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hand tools, power tools, machining, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to interpret production documents such as process sheets, technical drawings, and quality standards in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of coating application methods including conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, powder coating, and auto painting techniques.
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures using forklifts or cranes safely within an industrial setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, and process adjustments.
- Familiarity with safety protocols involving PPE use such as respirators, protective gloves, goggles, and appropriate clothing.
- Experience working with visual color comparison tools and precision measuring instruments for quality assurance purposes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while adhering to safety standards in construction painting or industrial painting projects.
