Falmouth Coal Co. Inc., operating through Falmouth Energy and Hiller Fuels, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Oil Burner Service Technician to join our growing service team.
With established locations in Falmouth and Marion, Massachusetts, we provide trusted heating services to residential and commercial customers throughout the Upper Cape and South Coast.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, tune-ups, diagnostics, and repairs on oil-fired heating equipment.
- Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency repairs.
- Perform combustion testing and equipment adjustments.
- Maintain accurate service records.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Massachusetts Oil Burner Technician License.
- Experience servicing and repairing oil-fired heating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service assignments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting equipment, climbing stairs, and working in mechanical spaces.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
Preferred:
- Experience with residential and light commercial boilers and furnaces.
- Knowledge of modern oil burner controls and heating system components.
- Experience with hydronic heating systems.
- Additional HVAC, refrigeration, or related trade licenses and certifications.
- Experience servicing multiple heating equipment manufacturers.
- Detail oriented with a commitment to upholding high standards.
