Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on active commercial construction projects throughout Texas, beginning with an initial assignment in Liberty Hill, Texas, and with the potential for future assignments beyond Texas as project needs evolve. This role requires a hands-on field leader who can drive schedules, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety, and deliver high-quality commercial projects in fast-paced environments.

Direct experience managing Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) construction is essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, travel-ready, and experienced in managing multiple project types and locations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field operations for assigned commercial projects
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite labor to maintain schedule and quality
Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Inspectors
Enforce site safety, quality control, and compliance with plans and specifications
Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and manpower forecasts
Oversee erection, coordination, and sequencing of Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) systems
Conduct daily site walks, subcontractor coordination meetings, and safety meetings
Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field changes for constructability
Track progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve field issues
Oversee inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and project documentation
Represent the company professionally with clients and trade partners

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
Demonstrated experience managing Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) construction (required)
Experience with ground-up, interior build-outs, renovations, and/or capital improvements
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proven leadership and subcontractor management skills
Strong scheduling and coordination capabilities
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness and ability to travel throughout Texas, with openness to travel beyond Texas preferred (not required)
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check
