Job Description
We are looking for a Low Voltage Technician I to maintain, repair, and install low voltage equipment and related systems. This position will be full-time contract and onsite.
What You’ll Do
Install low‑voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, coax) for data, voice, security, and AV systems.
Perform installations such as cameras, access control panels, Wi‑Fi access points, badge readers, and sensors.
Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of cables and low‑voltage equipment using tools like cable testers and toners.
Follow wiring diagrams, blueprints, and job specifications to support proper system layout and installation.
Support senior technicians during system configuration, equipment mounting, and project setup.
What You'll Need
Required:
Valid Class E Driver's License
Strong understanding of low-voltage equipment and basic 120/240-volt systems
Experience with CCTV, security systems, access controls, thermostats, relay logic, RS-485, and networking
Demonstrate workmanship and practical skills beyond textbook knowledge.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals
Skilled in using volt/amp meters and basic hand tools
Familiar with facilities maintenance
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
Three years of experience in cabling systems
Within one year of hire, Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification and a 10-hour OSHA Safety Course
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 pounds

$25.20 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
