Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance. This role involves working on various projects that require technical expertise in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair. The technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client specifications. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate field service operations across multiple sites. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team on diverse projects that demand precision and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and drainage setup.
- Conduct equipment repairs utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment when necessary.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and perform preventative maintenance to optimize system performance.
- Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R equipment as needed.
- Follow safety protocols during installation and service procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into existing infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and service reports.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC installation or repair roles.
- Strong background in construction, property maintenance, or appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R applications.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair is preferred.
- Field service experience involving air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, or property maintenance projects is essential.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment is advantageous.
- Prior experience in mechanic roles or boiler operation enhances suitability for this position. This role requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and related mechanical disciplines to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
