Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team and drive excellence in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair across a variety of commercial construction projects. Duties
- 5 years of experience minimum
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including low voltage and high voltage wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Work on construction sites performing wiring for lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and control panels while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety compliance and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams to coordinate installation schedules.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and schematic revisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician practices preferred.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, blueprints reading, and low/high voltage systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work safely in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations for electrical installations and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings accurately for precise installations.
- Experience with renovation projects or construction environments is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience or frame carpentry skills are advantageous.
