Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join our team, specializing in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems for commercial and industrial applications. The ideal candidate is skilled, safety-focused, and capable of delivering high-quality work that meets industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and repair piping systems, including water, gas, and industrial piping
- Cut, thread, weld, and assemble pipes using a variety of tools and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine system layout
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry codes, and project requirements
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment
- Collaborate with other trades such as welders, plumbers, and general contractors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior pipe fitters
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of pipe fitting experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and piping schematics
- Experience working with various piping materials, including steel, copper, and PVC
- Proficient with pipe fitting tools (cutting, threading, welding equipment)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in varying conditions
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
