Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated fabrication and welding technician to join our team on the second or third shift at our facility in Terrel. This role involves performing precise metal fabrication, welding, and assembly tasks to support manufacturing projects across various industries. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction site experience, sheet metal work, and advanced welding techniques, contributing to high-quality production standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding with precision and adherence to safety standards
Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently
Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
Fabricate ductwork, pipe components, sheet metal assemblies, and structural elements according to specifications
Use rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely on construction sites or within manufacturing settings
Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during fabrication and welding processes
Support assembly of mechanical components using schematics and technical instructions
Utilize forklifts and other machinery for material handling within the shop or construction site
Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment

Experience:

Proven construction site experience with knowledge of structural steel, ductwork, or related fields
Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; familiarity with welding preferred
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to fabrication and welding tasks
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication projects
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly processes
Experience working with schematics for mechanical systems or manufacturing equipment is advantageous
