Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/HVAC Technician to join our maintenance and service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment across various residential property types. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of essential mechanical systems, supporting our commitment to property upkeep and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations and repairs.
Diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices; perform equipment repair with attention to safety standards.
Conduct routine maintenance on boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and other mechanical systems.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for system repairs or modifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to HVAC/R systems and plumbing codes; maintain detailed service records.
Operate a company vehicle responsibly as a driver while managing field service appointments efficiently.
Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and plumbing systems to uphold operational standards.
Support appliance repair projects involving heating or cooling equipment; troubleshoot mechanical failures promptly.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or system upgrades.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on plumbing and HVAC systems; prior service technician experience preferred.
Knowledge of schematics, HVAC/R principles, refrigeration techniques—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with HVAC design concepts, property maintenance procedures, and appliance repair processes.
Hands-on experience with equipment repair techniques such as welding; proficiency in using testing tools like ohmmeters.
Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and related machinery.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for installations or repairs.
Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities for field service interactions.
Certifications or training in HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly advantageous.
