Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers to diagnose issues and complete installations
- Work on construction sites performing wiring for new builds or renovations while adhering to safety protocols
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation systems
- Conduct maintenance on high voltage and low voltage electrical systems ensuring compliance with NEC standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during renovation or construction projects
- Use schematics to plan wiring layouts and ensure all work aligns with project specifications
- Apply knowledge of NEC regulations to ensure all electrical installations meet code requirements
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance audits and future reference
Requirements
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification demonstrating completed apprenticeship program
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and low/high voltage testing equipment
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of NEC standards related to high voltage (up to 600V) and low voltage wiring practices
- Construction site experience working on new builds or renovation projects in various environments
- Ability to interpret schematics for complex electrical systems including control panels and motor circuits
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Excellent safety awareness with adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Additional skills such as handyman experience or frame carpentry are considered a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
