Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system installations. As a key leader on our installation crew, you will oversee the complete setup of HVAC systems, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable, reliable climate solutions to our clients while mentoring junior team members and coordinating with project managers. Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install systems according to technical drawings.
Supervise and mentor installation technicians, providing guidance on proper techniques and safety protocols.
Install, service, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems and ductless minisplits.
Conduct mechanical work such as braising, pipe fitting (including plumbing), and equipment repair to ensure optimal system performance.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostic assessments during installation or service calls.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, system layouts, and compliance records.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction-related fields with a strong background in HVAC installation or service technician roles.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics, HVAC/R (refrigeration) principles, and mechanical components.
Hands-on experience with HVAC design concepts, property maintenance practices, appliance repair, and field service operations.
Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters is essential.
Mechanical skills including welding, boiler operation, plumbing expertise, equipment repair and retrofit.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating panel vans or similar vehicles preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site; excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
