POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all assembly and sizing of formed Magazine tubes and components (springs, followers, bases, etc.).
IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of assembly work in a manufacturing environment and be able to understand and demonstrate the following:
- Proper use of Measuring Equipment (Vernier Calipers, Comparative measuring devices, etc.)
- Understanding of providing quality outputs that meet customer and company drawings.
- Properly prepare quality and process related documents (QAS sheets, PPH Rate sheets, etc.).
- Experience with the manufacturing of magazine and firearm components.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Follow communicated production plan daily.
- Communicate any discrepancies immediately that relate to damage of materials or equipment.
- Perform assembly functions that are specific to the Metalform magazine assembly process (Assemble Follower, filler, spring, base, or any related components into finished magazine tube).
- Correctly use all Quality approved measuring instruments (box gages, bullet gage, pull test device, etc.) as needed.
- Abide by all safety processes and protocols.
- Must be willing to understand and provide rework and alternative process changes directed by Engineering and Department Coordinator/Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be over 18 years old with high school education or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, verbally communicate, and comprehend English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. All work time will be spent on the production floor where temperatures may be warm in the summer months and cool in the winter months when the noise level can be moderate.
