Artistic Auto Body in Fairhaven is operating under new ownership and looking to grow. We have immediate job openings for 2 Auto Body Techs. No paint work is necessary. This is a full time position with opportunities for overtime every week.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, including collision repairs, auto restoration projects, and custom finishes, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using hand tools and power tools.
Conduct welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques to restore structural integrity.
Utilize auto painting techniques, including airless paint spraying, to achieve flawless finishes that match factory colors.
Replace and repair auto glass components with precision, ensuring proper sealing and alignment.
Assist in auto estimating processes by assessing damage and providing accurate repair estimates for customers.
Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and assembly work to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Use heavy lifting equipment safely to handle large parts or vehicles during repair procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair journey.

Experience

Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and auto painting techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and vehicle maintenance.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto glass installation tools.
Experience with auto estimating software and understanding of insurance claim processes is a plus.
Knowledge of auto restoration projects and detailing techniques enhances your suitability for this role.
