Job Overview
We are small family owned business seeking an outgoing and confident HVAC Technician to join our team. While our business is centered around customer service, we are not commission based or sales driven. Our goal is to offer our customers trustworthy reliable service.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across various residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems (straight cool and heat pump systems, mini splits, etc.).
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan while minimizing downtime.
- Diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices; perform electrical repairs as needed. Basic electrical knowledge is a must (thermostats, breakers, switches).
- Perform light plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting, drain lines, and water heaters.
- Perform minor drywall, insulation, or carpentry as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for accountability and future reference. Become familiar with any necessary software.
- Work directly with homeowners.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Must be confident in troubleshooting.
- Experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or upgrades.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications.
- EPA Universal Certified (or willing to obtain certification within 60 days).
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of performing equipment repair with precision.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to work safely in environments involving complex equipment like HVAC/R units requiring specialized handling.
- Preference given if you have your own basic hand tools, apprentice level plumbing or electrical experience, and/or a great attitude.
What We Offer
- Flexibility in your schedule. You can work 3 long days or 5 short days with flexible hours.
