Installer | Journeyman | Foreman
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Full-Time or Contract
Hours: 40-60 hours per week
Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Installers, Journeymen, and Foremen for commercial HVAC projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Pay Range
- Installer / Mechanic: $22.00-$28.00/hour
- Journeyman: $28.00-$35.00/hour
- Foreman: $36.00-$45.00/hour
General Responsibilities
All roles may be responsible for:
- Installing commercial HVAC sheet metal systems including spiral duct, round pipe, flex duct, dampers, air devices, louvers, and air-moving equipment
- Reading and working from blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Fabricating or modifying duct and sheet metal using brakes, shears, rollers, punches, snips, drills, and power tools
- Installing hangers, TDC, drives, clips, sealant, screws, nuts, and bolts
- Drilling, punching, and installing duct taps including spin-in, peel-and-stick, and airtight connections
- Completing final connections to equipment and helping ensure systems are properly sealed
- Operating man lifts, scissor lifts, duct jacks, and chain hoists
- Maintaining a clean and safe jobsite
- Coordinating with other trades, supervisors, and project management to keep work on schedule
- Following all OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
Installer / Mechanic
Pay: $22.00-$28.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of ductwork and HVAC components under the direction of a lead or foreman
- Use standard hand and power tools for assembly, sealing, and fastening
- Support layout, hanger installation, material handling, and jobsite cleanup
Requirements:
- Sheet metal or commercial HVAC experience preferred
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Must be dependable and able to work in an active construction environment
Journeyman
Pay: $28.00-$40.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform full installation and field fabrication with minimal supervision
- Read plans, lay out runs, and ensure proper fit, seal, and overall system performance
- Direct helpers or apprentices and help maintain production and quality standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience preferred
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Strong understanding of duct installation, layout, and field adjustments
Foreman
Pay: $40.00-$45.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Lead crews of up to 8 workers
- Assign daily tasks, track progress, and maintain production goals
- Coordinate with the GC, other trades, and project leadership
- Enforce safety compliance and oversee quality control and job documentation
- Use Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office as needed
Requirements:
- Prior foreman or lead experience in commercial HVAC sheet metal
- OSHA 30 required
- Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills
Requirements for All Roles
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50-80 lbs, depending on role
- Comfortable working at heights, in lifts, and in varying weather conditions
