Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
- Service and repair: Rooftop Units (RTUs), Split Systems, Package Units, Heat Pumps, Walk-In Coolers and Freezers, Reach-In Refrigeration Equipment, Boilers, and Commercial Refrigeration Systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system failures
- Read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment documentation
- Identify equipment issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions
- Complete service tickets, work orders, and maintenance reports accurately
- Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools in a safe and organized manner
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Deliver outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with customers and internal teams
- Travel throughout the assigned service territory
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician experience
- EPA Universal Certification (Required)
- OSHA Certification (Required)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems ranging from 1-50 tons
- Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment
- Experience servicing RTUs, boilers, and electrical controls
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule
- Must possess personal hand tools, gauges, and meters
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC Trade School or Technical School Graduate
- Experience with: Commercial Rooftop HVAC Units, Walk-In Coolers and Freezers, Reach-In Refrigeration Equipment, Split Systems, Package Units, Heat Pumps, Boilers, Building Controls, and Electrical Troubleshooting
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Climb ladders and work on rooftops safely
- Kneel, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work safely in varying weather conditions
- Travel daily within the service area
