Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Sheet Metal Fabricator specializing in architectural applications. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling, custom sheet metal components used in building exteriors and architectural details. Your expertise will ensure precision craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications, contributing to the creation of visually stunning and durable architectural elements. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, automated brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions and quality control.
- Operate forklifts and rigging equipment safely to handle heavy materials and components in our sheet metal shop.
- Fabricate, architectural panels, trim pieces ie edge metals, copings, gutters, downspouts and other custom metal features
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication or installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
- Knowledge of basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for material handling on-site.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
