Duties

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within industrial facilities using hand tools and power tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical tasks.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that automate machinery and processes.
Conduct inspections of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and functionality.
Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects.
Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including motors, control panels, circuit breakers, and wiring infrastructure.
Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or renovations, providing electrical expertise for framing carpentry or handyman tasks as needed.
Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work on construction sites or industrial environments to prevent accidents or hazards.

Skills

Extensive experience working as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
Skilled in troubleshooting using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
Familiarity with construction site procedures, renovation projects, and schematic interpretation.
Versatile handyman skills including frame carpentry or general construction experience are a plus.
Strong safety awareness with the ability to work confidently at heights or in confined spaces on construction or industrial sites.
