Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and drive excellence in building comfort and system efficiency. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various property types. Experience with Restaurant Equipment, Walk-In Cooler and Freezer preferred.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with building infrastructure.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical components’ resistance and identify faults efficiently.
- Repair or replace mechanical components using welding techniques or other appropriate methods.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, parts used, and system performance for ongoing property maintenance documentation.
- Operate a vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment as needed for field service tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects involving HVAC installation or upgrades.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards related to refrigerants such as ammonia or other chemicals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician with a strong background in commercial HVAC. Restaurant and / or convenience store / gas station experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (especially ammonia refrigeration), air conditioning units, boilers, and appliances repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret complex schematics accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in welding, boiler maintenance, appliance repair, and general property upkeep.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to refrigerants (including ammonia), electrical systems, and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with proactive communication abilities for effective client interaction.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
