Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing HVAC systems
- Troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses
- Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units, and monitoring and calibrating air handling units
- Ensuring the condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions
- Maintaining service truck
- Create a positive customer experience by completing the service correctly the first time with quality and care to applicable codes, to avoid refunds and recalls
- Consistently provide accurate TruTransparency pricing
- Mentor and develop technicians under his/her care to achieve the desired performance metrics
- Perform a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection including Health and Safety Checklist and communicate findings to the customer in a written option sheet
- Support technicians and apprentices on troubleshooting issues as needed
- Complete all required documentation on services and collect, record, and deliver fees to designated office administration
- Responsible to contact dispatch to disposition recall and warranty jobs to assure they are recorded correctly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC issues
- Universal EPA Certificate
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able and willing to take and pass a drug screen and background check
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
- Ability to work limited on-call hours
- Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces
