Phoenix CollisionPhoenix Collision is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician / Paint & Body Repair who can weld, repair aluminum, complete body-filler work, and handle light cosmetic mechanical work independently. This position is strictly for production body repair; we do not do structural frame pulling or vehicle restoration.
The Work
- Panel & Body Repair: Perform steel and aluminum sheet metal repair, body filler work, metal finishing, and panel replacement.
- Welding & Bonding: Complete non-structural collision welding and panel bonding to OEM standards.
- Mechanical Teardown: Handle light, collision-related mechanical teardown, panel removal, installation, and reassembly (bumpers, trim, lights, doors).
- Quality Standards: Ensure all body repairs match the approved plan, applicable OEM procedures, and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Requires professional auto body shop experience (5+ years preferred).
- Skill Level: Strong B-Level or rising A-Level capability with the ability to manage body repair assignments independently.
- Technical Skills: Proven competence in cosmetic repair, aluminum panel repair, body filler, dent repair, and light mechanical assembly.
- Execution: Ability to follow repair plans, communicate additional hidden damage, meet deadlines, and deliver clean work.
Additional Value (Preferred but Not Required)
- Paint & Refinishing: Panel painting, automotive refinishing, color matching, or plastic bumper repair.
- Specialties: Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) or scratch repair capabilities.
- Certifications: I-CAR, ASE, welding, or EPA Section 609 certifications.
Contractor Details & Compensation
- Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00 per flat-rate hour (based on completed and approved labor hours).
- Shop hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Location: Onsite at 4230 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238.
- Requirements: Satisfactory body shop managerial references are required. Final assignment, tools, equipment, insurance, tax, and rework terms will be defined in a written contractor agreement.
