Overview
Berkshires Best Plumbing LLC, a 2026 Best of the Berkshires winner, is seeking a dependable, motivated plumbing apprentice enrolled in or having completed Tier 4 or higher plumbing apprenticeship coursework.

Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Assist with installing and replacing water heaters, plumbing fixtures, and water distribution piping.
- Support boiler replacements and hydronic heating installations.
- Assist with drain and sewer piping repairs and replacements.
- Participate in whole-home repiping, remodeling, and new construction.
- Measure, cut, prepare, and assemble piping under supervision.
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily assignments.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect customers’ properties.
- Communicate progress, material needs, and concerns to the supervising plumber.
- Follow company procedures, jobsite safety practices, and applicable plumbing requirements.
Duties will reflect your experience and permitted scope of work. Plumbing work will be performed under licensed supervision.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts plumbing apprentice license.
- Enrollment in or completion of Tier 4 or higher plumbing apprenticeship coursework.
- Previous hands-on plumbing experience.
- Familiarity with plumbing tools, piping materials, fittings, and installation methods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside a licensed plumber.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude and willingness to continue learning.
- Reliable transportation to assigned job locations.
- Dependability, professional communication, and respect for customers and coworkers.
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
Schedule
This is a full-time position offering 35–40 hours per week. Daily schedules and job locations will be communicated in advance. Work takes place throughout Berkshire County and Western Massachusetts.
Compensation and Employment
- $25–$40 per hour, based on experience, demonstrated skills, and qualifications.
- W-2 employment with applicable payroll withholding.
- Workers’ compensation coverage provided by the company.
- Practical experience across a variety of plumbing systems and installations.
- Skill development under licensed plumber supervision.
