This position offers varied plumbing assignments with scheduling coordinated around your availability. It is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals seeking additional income while maintaining flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Install and replace water heaters, fixtures, and water distribution piping.
- Perform boiler replacement and hydronic heating work within applicable licensing requirements.
- Repair and replace drain and sewer piping.
- Complete plumbing installations for remodels and new construction.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Communicate clearly with customers and company management.
- Document completed work and report additional service needs.
- Follow applicable codes, safety standards, and inspection requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts journeyman or master plumber license.
- Applications are also welcome from Massachusetts plumbing apprentices who have reached Tier 4 or higher in their apprenticeship education.
- Demonstrated plumbing installation, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to complete assigned work efficiently and professionally.
- Reliable transportation to job locations.
- Strong attention to detail and respect for customers’ properties.
- Have your own tools.
- Dependable communication and follow-through.
Schedule
Assignments are offered individually based on business needs and employee availability. Scheduling is agreed upon in advance, allowing employees to accept assignments that fit their schedules. Work availability varies, and no minimum weekly hours are guaranteed.
Compensation and Employment
- Hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications, discussed before hiring.
- W-2 employment with applicable payroll withholding.
- Workers’ compensation coverage provided by the company.
- Flexible scheduling and varied assignments throughout Berkshire County and Western Massachusetts.
