Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Fire Alarm Technician/PM/Salesperson to join our team. This multifaceted role combines technical expertise in fire alarm systems with project management and sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, construction, and fire alarm technology, along with excellent communication skills to engage with clients and oversee projects from start to finish. This position offers an opportunity to lead technical installations, ensure system compliance, and drive sales growth within the fire safety industry.

Duties

Lead the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to ensure accurate implementation.
Perform system design modifications using CAD software as needed for project customization.
Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with NEC and local electrical codes.
Install and service low voltage wiring, sensors, alarm panels, and related components using hand tools and power tools.
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to fire safety protocols.
Manage project timelines, coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
Engage in fire alarm system sales by consulting with clients on system options, upgrades, and new installations.
Provide field service support for troubleshooting and repairing existing fire alarm systems.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports.

Experience

Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or service technician with a strong background in low voltage electrical systems.
Knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, system design, and CAD drafting related to fire alarm systems.
Hands-on experience, mechanical knowledge related to construction inspection, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
Demonstrated ability in construction projects involving fire alarm installation or service.
Previous success in alarm system sales or fire alarm sales roles is highly desirable.
Familiarity with sensors, electrical components, and low voltage wiring techniques essential for system setup and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and inspection procedures relevant to fire alarm systems. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to leverage technical skills in a leadership capacity while contributing directly to life safety solutions through sales growth and project management excellence.
Primary sought after skills:

Operating in the full Honeywell Suite of Fire Alarm products, Microsoft Word &Excel, maintain calendar and email, Adobe and/or Bluebeam

BDA/DAS, VESDA Xtralis, Li-ionTamer, GROL, any NICET certifications, Siemens, Simplex, Edwards, Potter, Camera systems, Access Controls, Burglar, Nurse Call, Intercom, BICSI, RCDD, PCTEL, Camworks, PS Tools, CLSS, HFSS, AUTOCAD, FIRECAD, ACCUBID, COPS Monitoring,

Ability to adapt, learn new skills and overcome unknown challenges under pressure is a must.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
