Operates the Kinetic 5000 Machine. This role requires technical ability, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety. The operator will be responsible for machining operations such as drilling, milling, and tapping steel plates, as well as supporting warehouse workflows to ensure efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Kinetic 5000 Machine for precision drilling, milling, and tapping.
- Set up and program the machine, maintaining equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Perform highly complex CNC machining operations on a diversified line of work to exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill.
- Process parts with maximum productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize gauges, measuring devices, and precision instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Maintain traceability of all plate material and finished parts produced.
- Monitor tool life; track drilling and machining bits as well as plasma torch consumables in an organized location.
- Maximize efficiency through scrap utilization and material optimization.
- Load, unload, and stage heavy steel materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material-handling equipment.
- Interact with shop personnel in a professional and efficient manner to minimize mistakes and maintain workflow.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments on the Kinetic 5000 Machine.
- Support warehouse duties including material handling, staging, and organization.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all safety policies.
- Stand, lift, climb, and perform other physical activities required for warehouse operations.
- Perform other job duties as assigned, including part inspection, part conditioning, or additional warehouse/production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two-year Experience with CNC machinery or heavy-duty industrial machines (Kinetic 5000 experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of drilling, milling, and tapping in steel manufacturing.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with common steel grades (e.g., A36, A572, A516) and cutting specifications
- Physically able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and perform extended standing, climbing, and other warehouse tasks.
- Proficient in using precision measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
