Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our apartment community maintenance team. This role is responsible for installing, replacing, and upgrading HVAC systems within occupied and vacant apartment units, as well as supporting property-wide heating and cooling needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a residential community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC systems in apartment units and common areas
- Install and modify ductwork, thermostats, and related components
- Perform system start-ups, testing, and ensure proper operation
- Work closely with maintenance staff and property management to complete unit turns and projects on schedule
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and organized work areas
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with residents when working in occupied units
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of HVAC installation experience (multi-family or residential preferred)
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces, attics, and varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA Certification (required or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- Experience in apartment communities or property management
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
