Residential HVAC Start-Up Technician

Location: San Marcos, Tx

Pay: $40,000-$70,000 per year

Bonus: Up to $5,000 (available for currently employed Start-Up Technicians)

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
1-hour lunch
Occasional weekends and on-call rotation

What You'll Do

Perform HVAC system start-ups, testing, and warranty work on residential equipment
Ensure systems are operating efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications
Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive homeowner experience
Complete work in compliance with company standards and safety guidelines

What We're Looking For

EPA Certification and TDLR license (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
HVAC technical school training (preferred, not required)
Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple HVAC equipment types
Experience making repair vs. replacement recommendations
Ability to obtain a low-voltage license within 2 years
Ability to obtain NATE certification within 1 year
Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices
Understanding of air balancing principles and techniques
Comfortable operating scissor and genie lifts
Strong customer service and communication skills
Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and leadership responsibility
