Austin Air Services, LLC is growing and looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. If you're a motivated technician with at least 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and takes pride in quality work, we'd like to talk with you.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
- Service and maintain VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, exhaust fans, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, compressors, VFDs, and control circuits.
- Complete detailed service reports and provide repair recommendations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members.
- Work independently while managing multiple service calls safely and efficiently.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience servicing VRF/VRV systems is required.
- Experience with VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, and commercial refrigeration principles.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Trane, Daikin, LG, Carrier, Mitsubishi, or AAON equipment.
- Commercial building automation and controls.
- Factory training or manufacturer certifications.
- Experience working in office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, or industrial/commercial properties.
